User's Guide
Once again, we welcome you to Leading Edge Trading. We want you to succeed and to have a pleasant and profitable experience here with us, so we have set forth this User's Guide to acquaint you with how we do things here as well as how to make the best use of the information posted in the chat rooms. All market guidance and related information is posted exclusively by our Head Trader. Should you have any questions regarding the market, guidance, potential trades, posting clarification, etc. please wait until after the first 90 minutes of regular session trading when our Head Trader opens the room up for questions. Please refer to our Head Trader simply as HT. Any questions regarding subscriptions, memberships, upgrades to another room, training or general use of the room may be directed to Admin, our room administrator.

Please be aware that this is a professional trading environment serving traders of varying experience levels and some trading huge accounts and significant size. Not all potential trades posted in the room may be for you, especially when you are new to our chat room or if you are a less experienced trader. We are highly experienced, extremely specific, and completely capable. You are not joining a “chat room” where members may express or share their opinions or views on the market at will. If that is what you are hoping to find, we urge you to seek that experience elsewhere. In our chat room, most traders prefer to focus not only on the guidance given through the posts made exclusively by HT, but also on their own trading and therefore find posts by other traders involving their opinions or views on the market bothersome, if not annoying. Consequently, we respectfully request that you refrain from any urge to post such opinions, views, trades or market expectations. Also, please do not post any names, email addresses, websites, links, telephone numbers, obscenities, political opinions or other views or opinions you may have. Further, do not ask HT to confirm anything you think you may see on your own chart(s), nor should you ask if you should buy, sell or sell short any stock, commodity, option or futures contract. We are not here for that nor can we give such advice. He will not answer you. Abuse of these provisions could be grounds for ejection from the room. It has been our experience that those traders whom abide by this non-posting provision, fair much better as a result of maintaining their focus, taking plenty of accurate notes and elevating their education and their trading to significantly higher levels.

Since our primary focus is on the S&P Market and the S&P 500 Index represents the 500 underlying stocks which make up the index and those 500 stocks are traded on in NYSE and NASDAQ changes, it makes sense then that all times used in our rooms are Eastern Time. The bulk of the trades will be made during NYSE and NASDAQ regular session operating hours (9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET). As to our chat room operating hours, we start posting at 8:15 AM ET. Posts made at that time will be valid all day unless and until subsequent postings may alter any previous guidance given. The information posted at 8:15 AM becomes valid immediately and many traders take advantage of postings for trades which may happen at that time or for any 8:30 AM economic reports or until updated. If there are economic reports released between 8:30 AM and the regular US Stock Market open (9:30 AM ET), we will typically be present and will post any changes as a result. Otherwise, the next posting or update time will be at 9:00 AM ET. From 9:00 AM ET on, we are typically present and posting until the actual close of the S&P Futures market which is 4:15 PM ET. All rooms will be closed after regular market hours (4:15 PM ET) or for any market holiday.

Questions
Please wait at least until after the first 90 minutes of regular session trading has elapsed (after 11:00 AM ET) before asking any market related questions. However, if the market is still active or volatile at that time then the time for questions may be postponed until the market settles down. Please be respectful and realize HT is posting in several of our other rooms, is trading himself and is dealing with in-house traders. Please keep your questions brief and to the point. If at all possible, ask “clarifying” questions if you need an explanation or clarification of any post rather than asking HT to confirm any trade or read of the market which you may be contemplating. He will not do that as it is distracting and counterproductive. We ask that you make every effort to get in sync with what we do and how we do it as opposed to asking us to look at things your way.

We highly recommend that while monitoring the room, traders record all levels/targets on a large pad of paper starting each day with a clean sheet. Please take a lot of notes especially recording Today’s Number as well as the “story” for the day (what we are expecting) and what would have to hold to make that happen or conversely, what would change our minds. Should you decide to make any trades, they should be as a result of your own notes on your Trading Pad and NOT directly from the room posts on your screen. Traders who simply scan the room for price levels or potential trades do not fair nearly as well as those traders who take ample notes and trade from their Trading Pad.

Please remember that this is a process and it takes a bit of time to “get in sync” with how we do things, especially if you have developed some bad trading habits prior to trading with us. How long will depend upon how open and flexible you are versus holding on to any old habits. That part is up to you. We are here to educate and to help you grow as a trader, but we can’t fix someone else’s method(s). The room you will be in initially is exclusively for trial members. Should you join us, you will be given password access to the monthly (Silver) room and you will join other monthly members in an isolated room where you can better focus on your training without posts or questions from trial members. After you have been a monthly subscriber in the Silver Room for some time, you may be a candidate for training in our methods and how we read the market. This is not for everyone and we are very selective as to whom we offer to train. Why? There are countless courses available offering to train traders. They propose a fixed syllabus for a given number of hours and may offer a handout/booklet. At the conclusion of your brief time together, they send you on your way or offer to up-sell you some calls to an unknown/unproven mentor…again, limiting your access to a certain number of minutes/hours.
We feel that that is just wrong on many levels. First, no two people (especially traders) learn in the same way. Some are visual, some auditory, some need charts with visual aids, some use numbers the way an accountant might while others, the way of an engineer. Second, no two traders have the same background, either in length of trading experience or in methodologies previously studied or used. So to limit the conveyance of knowledge to a fixed syllabus or timetable is rarely productive.
The way we look at the market is logical, repeatable, teachable and makes total sense. It is rare to find a trader who knows how the market really works and rarer still to find one who knows how to properly and accurately read the market. We teach our students how to read and understand the market the way it truly is. Once our students have this knowledge, they can read virtually any market, in any time frame, with NO INDICATORS! That is the difference between actually knowing what you are doing and fooling yourself by using some software or indicators as a crutch. This takes time. But in our view, it is well worth it and we are virtually giving you the combination to the vault.
Everything we teach can be verified and played forward or backwards and will be taught “to” the student….not “at” them. Most importantly, we train each and every student UNTIL YOU GET IT! Our teaching is ongoing and has no set timetable. We meet online after market hours in a private online “room” where you will learn and can ask questions without fear of embarrassment. Each lesson builds on prior sessions and continues until your learning is complete. This training continues until you understand and can put to use what you have been taught, all for the same flat rate.
To thoroughly embed this knowledge, our mentoring is ongoing throughout each trading day in the Gold and Platinum Rooms where every other trader there has also been trained, so members at that level can ask any questions openly about where a certain trade, entry or exit came from. This ongoing confirmation is the best way to truly “own” what you have been taught and continues without end. Knowing where the trades are found once you have been trained gives you the confidence to ramp up your trading size to levels you may have only once dreamed and trade the other commodity and equity markets we trade with confidence.
